Bentwood Furniture is built to last. We mainly use
solid Michigan Red Oak and Pennsylvania Cherry hardwoods, but
occasionally we use veneers on plywood when structurally necessary.
No particle board is used on any Bentwood product.
Dining tables feature solid oak or cherry tops, Walter of Wabash
wood glides for ease of operation and constant leveling when extended,
and are protected by Vanguard Conversion Varnish to ensure durability.
All dining tables and leaves are pinned for solid, accurate connection.
Dining tables are made and signed by a single craftsman, who hand
fits each leaf to adjust perfectly in that particular table.
Chairs are steel pinned or screwed with glue at each joint to
ensure superb strength.
Chair seat holes are drilled by computerized drilling machines
to ensure a perfect home diameter every time, thus producing an
extremely tight joint.
Drawers feature dovetail construction for exceptional strength.
Consumers who expect the best will recognize the superiority of
this type of drawer construction.
Drawers are individually fitted and matched.
All products are corner and edge sanded to eliminate rough molding
edges at even the tiniest surfaces.
Case face frames are screwed and clamped (glued under pressure
for stronger bond) together for strength.
Solid wood doors have floating raised panels for beauty and strength.
Doors and tables are sanded with at least five grades of sandpaper
to ensure a smooth, clear finish.
